Flight plan not sequencing

Upon takeoff the flight plan does not start sequencing to the first waypoint. I have to manually select a waypoint and then do a direct to in order for the flight plan to start sequencing and for NAV mode to work properly. Any ideas? I've run out.

JCMK, thanks for the workaround.  I have acquired the same problem in the last few flights, and had no idea how to solve it. Your suggestion worked in the my current flight.  I also see on the flight mode annunciator (top of the PFD) that there is an entry called "RWY NAV." I can't find that in the inibuilds A350 manual.

Same problem here - despite the NAV annunciation after take off, the a350 does not follow the flight plan. Direct to has to be enabled to a waypoint to enable the following of the plan.

Same here. Did 2 flights on 1.2.3 and had this problem on one flight where after take off route line on ND becomes dashed instead of solid, and you have to manually Dct to next way point to turn it to solid. It's a bug in 1.2.3

This has been a problem on Xbox on 1.2.1 and 1.2.2 (we don’t have 1.2.3 yet). Interestingly, took off from Glasgow tonight and started from the gate - no problem after takeoff - NAV engaged successfully. Typically, I spawn straight onto the runway. I wonder if starting from gate, for some reason, makes a difference?

Interesting - consistently, if I take off from Glasgow by spawning onto runway, the a350 will not follow flight plan after takeoff. However, using the same flight plan, if I start from the gate, then it will follow the flight plan after takeoff. Any ideas?

Could be something that occurs when initializing a runway start instead of a cold and dark state.

I can confirm that I always spawn onto runway, enter a flight plan manually, select take off runway, no SID, enter first way point and then rest of flight. It never sequences to the first waypoint. It should. I have to enter a direct to the first waypoint to start sequencing.
