Hew Posted Friday at 08:21 PM Posted Friday at 08:21 PM Hello, Per update notes WinWing MCDU should be working with 1.0.3 (now 1.0.4), and since SimApp 1.16.67. However, my MCDU screen is still black. Backlighting works, buttons work, just the screen is black. Thank you for any help!
Wothan1967 Posted Friday at 10:40 PM Posted Friday at 10:40 PM (edited) I use SimApp 1.16.71 with the A340-300 1.0.4 and also got a blank display. I have read somehwere that SimApp 1.16.70 should work, but I don´t want the hassle reinstalling the older 1.16.70 SimApp, but rather wait for Winwing to make an update. I also read that setting the MCDU to the Co-pilot side in SimApp should work, but haven´t tried. Edited Friday at 10:42 PM by Wothan1967
Astro_Liam Posted Friday at 10:42 PM Posted Friday at 10:42 PM If you still have simapppro v1.16.70 installer it works fine with that version
Hew Posted Saturday at 02:02 AM Author Posted Saturday at 02:02 AM Unfortunately, I have the latest version as I bought the MCDU this week. 3 hours ago, Wothan1967 said: I also read that setting the MCDU to the Co-pilot side in SimApp should work, but haven´t tried. I'll try that as well. I saw someone saying to use "Restore default configuration" button in SimApp, but that hasn't worked.

A340iB-2025 Posted yesterday at 11:40 AM Posted yesterday at 11:40 AM Hi, with v1.16.70, the MCDU (CPT side) screen was working again, but after few minutes, it froze. I did reconnect the MCDU from the usb port and it worked for short while, but then another freeze. Setting it to the FO side: same thing.

Last night based upon reports from others I upgraded from SAP .70 to .71. Chose the Co-Pilot for input and had a 3 + hour flight without MCDU lockup/freeze. First time and I am replicating the flight right now as I type to see if it was progress or just dumb luck. YMMV. TANSTAAFL. Blue skies, -A 1
