papabear Posted October 20 Posted October 20 It is very hard to make a soft landing on the nosegear. After the main gear touches down, and you activate thrust reversers, spoilers and autobrakes, the nose just drops like a brick. Even with full backpressure on the joystick... My center of gravity was good, and I was not landing overweight at all. This combined with a very bad nosegearsuspension, kind of breaks the experience. 1
mari8it Posted October 20 Posted October 20 (edited) I encountered this behavior only in airports affected by fs2024 on final stuttering , maybe it is linked to this situation, because it don’t happens on smooth sceneries, I don’t know, maybe this info could help inibuilds team. papabear Posted October 20 Author Posted October 20 For me the framerates are acceptable. Way better than the a330. If you have bad FPS then you basically crashland every time, but this is not the case. For me its just a bad tuning of the flight characteristics... But im not the expert here ofcourse
Swisspilot1986 Posted October 20 Posted October 20 many videos on Youtube show a hard front landing. Anyway all pitch attitudes should be tweaked as too sensitive.

You have to make a complete tripple touchdown before activating the reversers. First the back wheels, then the front wheels then the nosegear and after that you activate the reversersers, not before. If you do activate them after the first touch down with the nose gear still in the air reversers will activate, the spoilers deploy, destroy all lift and the nose gear will slam down. papabear Posted October 21 Author Posted October 21 What you just said makes no sense... I suggest you look at this... Spoilers and reversers deploy when the main gear touches. And then with almost no stick backpressure the nose gently drops. And in the inibuilds you have to pull the stick all away backwards and even then... controls are soo sensitive that the nose raises way to fast/ or if your speed is SLIGHTLY lower, your nose drops like a brick. With your landing technique, you will run out of runway one day.
Farlis Posted October 21 Posted October 21 Sure what do I know? You keep looking at videos, I'll be listening to A340 pilots who explained the technique. And then waste your time asking for a sofware fix instead of fixing your faulty landing technique.
papabear Posted October 21 Author Posted October 21 You just told to wait for reversers and spoilers untill after the nose gear touches. I think i will go and believe the 1000's of video's posted online instead 😉
DeeJay Posted Friday at 10:56 PM Posted Friday at 10:56 PM Hard to make a triple landing if you can't feel neither hear the double touchdown of the main wheels in the inibuilds A340. They promised to improve that (no idea why it hasn't been modelled from the beginning like their A330 perfectly does), but so far, it still just makes "boom" a single time when landing the mains.
Swisspilot1986 Posted Friday at 11:20 PM Posted Friday at 11:20 PM The version 1.0.2 is coming. Let's see.
CONVEEN Posted Monday at 10:25 PM Posted Monday at 10:25 PM By heavy wind it can be It makes sense to engage reverse thrust when the front wheel has not yet touched down because there is a lot of wind under the wings?
