I have seriously lost my patience with Inbuilds and Asobo Marketplace.  Having the aircraft exclusively on the Marketplace is a horrible decision.  I am not able to install the update!

Gents,

I figured it out. I had to delete all the folders associated with it and restarted the sim. Now my update fully completed and am running version 1.0.1.  The folders I deleted was:

C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Official2024\OneStore\inibuilds-aircraft-a340

C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\WASM\MSFS2024\WASM...

Hi Ini builds, I’m having the same problem. Downloaded ok, but when I click install nothing happens! Checked my EFB. Still on the previous version.

Yes, that's the folder that needs to be deleted.  Honestly, a horrible experience.  I really regret buying the A340 via the Marketplace!

Hello,

I completely understand this is not a fun experience. For some, the update was able to install after a while of not touching the simulator; basically trying again later.
Below is a list of things you can try to trouble-shoot; I'm afraid more than this is out of our hands.

  • Ensure A343 isn't the active selected aircraft in Free Flight,
  • Try to uninstall via My Library first, then reinstall. (For streamed version it will automatically grab the latest on first load),
  • If all else fails, close the sim, manually delete the IniBuilds a340 from Official2024 folder.
  • Lastly, if you are still experiencing issues, please contact Microsoft Support as this is their infrastructure and they'll be able to guide you a lot more than we can here.

On top of that, quoted below is a step-by-step shared by user "Dasher" on our Discord.

Quote

- Uninstall A340 in the marketplace.
- Disable the A340.
- Exit the simulator.
- Navigate the Community and "Streamed Packages" folders (Usually in the same location as your community folder)  and delete the Inibuilds a340 from there.
- Restart the simulator
- Re-Install a340.

Note: Its very important that you delete any lingering a340 files from the sim, within your Community and Streamed Packages folders. Removing these files is what allowed me to re-install the a340. (You don't have to delete your camera views)

Again, I understand this is tedious and not ideal, but if done correctly should take you only a few minutes. We are hopeful this kind of process won't be needed going forward. Can't wait to see you all enjoy 1.0.1 soon!
We'll be locking this thread for visibility.
