BasileD Posted Tuesday at 08:44 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:44 PM Hey Just performed my test flight on the A340 but I’m a bit disappointed by the MCDU here are the issues I encountered - Several « company MSG Rcvd » nothing showing up in the ATSU - ATSU is super limited and many greyed functions shown it’s frustrating - ATIS can’t be taken from SI (possible on A350) - no CMS implemented. - MCDU feels super laggy - Can’t go to Init B once engines are running - fly by wire feels super heavy while the aircraft was light didn’t find Any guidance on particular settings - would like to have the option to actually print on real POS-80 printer I was hopping for a better MCDU similar to Fenix but it feel it’s just a revamp of the default A330 2 1

Regarding the lagginess, well this a damn old 90s aircraft 😁 Yep I did but in the list of ATIS sources there’s only vatsim / IVAO / PilotEdge. regarding lagginess, a bunch of old 320’s have also olds units and don’t feel as laggy as that. Maybe it’s a feeling coming along the impression that MCDU isn’t finished. Like when I kept pressing on a white label don’t remember which one in RSK 5 of ATSU menu before figuring out it was just simply not implemented 1

If you have any specific examples/instances of how to reproduce these "errant" messages please let us know so we can investigate further. Quote - ATIS can’t be taken from SI (possible on A350) Do you mean D-ATIS under ATC MENU > ATIS? That is coming in the next update. It didn't make the cut in QA Testing for the release version. Quote - no CMS implemented. Features such as CMS, ETP, ETT and Time markers are all work in progress items that should be available in a future update. These didn't make the cut in QA Testing for the release version. Additionally, please include what your expected result is. Can't say I've noticed any issues personally in this regard in testing but I am curious as to what you're experiencing. Our aircraft are best used with linear (1:1) sensitivity settings for your axis, with deadzones as necessary for your hardware. While there may be room for minor adjustments, we stand by our simulated flight dynamics behaviour - which has been tested by type-rated pilots on consumer level hardware such as Winwing, Thrustmaster as well as more elaborate setups. The experience will scale up with better hardware naturally. We are also going to remain primarily data-driven in our approach to such tweaks so scenario specific example and reference for expected results are required for such feedback to be actionable. ATSU DATALINK page, clicking on "Datalink STATUS" and nothing showing up is a good example. Still a bit disapointed that CMS ETP and EET are not present since this is major feature needed for long haul... Much appreciated your time to answer that also i have a question regarding Winwing MCDU, will it be fully supported? thanks 1
