I think the low stop red lights should remain off at low power settings while airborne. I'd encourage the dev team to review PDF pages 422-426 of the attached real-world manual for info on how the lights (and the lockout system) works.

Also would help if the systems programmers could review this whole thing and see about further realism improvements.
