I’ve noticed that the reverse thrust implementation on the A330 is currently using a variable deployment system, where the reverse cowl doors gradually open based on throttle input. This behavior is not accurate to how the system works on the real aircraft. On the real A330 when reverse thrust is activated (idle reverse), the reverse doors fully deploy immediately—only the level of reverse thrust changes with throttle input, not the door position. This is a critical detail in how the system is designed and operated. It’s also worth noting that other default MSFS 2024 aircraft like the A310 handle this correctly with a full-deploy-on-command system, making the A330 feel inconsistent in comparison. Would be great to see this corrected in a future update. Thanks for all your work! This is a post from discord (user CPTSS_330) and was posted 5/6/25. It still is an issue today that the reverse doors (no matter if RR or GE, -200, -300) only open a tiny tiny bit when selecting idle reverse. They only open fully on max REV.
