bigrollbot Posted September 2 Posted September 2 So I'm currently aware that existing Inibuilds aircraft aren't fully compatible with the WinWing MCDU (buttons work but screen doesn't). I've seen that it's something to do with being unable to pop out panels on Ini aircraft. C Considering that the A340 shares similar MCDU to A320, will Inibuilds finally make their aircraft compatible with WinWing?
BrianT Posted September 3 Posted September 3 I think you'll find it's the other way round and that Winwing neeed to make the MCDU compatible with the inibuilds range.
bigrollbot Posted September 3 Author Posted September 3 @BrianT I don't think that is the case. From various posts on this forum, it seems that it is in fact Inibuilds that would need to put in the work to make it compatible 1

You actually could not be more wrong here. The problem is Ini has not coded a single one of their planes the broadcast the data that is needed to allow for any external MCDUs on the market that don’t use pop out screens to work with it. They were supposed to bring this functionality over a year ago and then something must have happened behind the scenes. After the expo they announced they were going to look into it again but have pretty much gone silent again which isn’t a good sign.
BrianT Posted September 8 Posted September 8 My bad as I was waiting for Winwing to update SimApPro for the PMDG 777 LR I presumed (wrongly) it was the same for the inibuilds stuff. I'll go sit in the corner and keep quiet.
bigrollbot Posted September 8 Author Posted September 8 @BrianT no worries!! I wish Inibuilds would acknowledge this issue. It might seem silly, but it is probably the deciding factor for whether or not I’ll buy the a340, as I want it to work with alL my peripherals. Is there a better way to get Inibuilds to acknowledge this question?
BrianT Posted September 9 Posted September 9 I've just checked their Discord and the only response I see is "we're working on it" 🤷♂️
Firewiz Posted Thursday at 09:19 AM Posted Thursday at 09:19 AM hi there, i also didnt buy the A 300 for the same reason, and i will only buy the A 340 if MCDU really works, as far as im aware winwing will put more hardware for airbus, yokes, throttles, Coms etc... so Inibuilds really need to make possible for us to use peripherals with their airplanes, thats my opinion, and just that 1
bigrollbot Posted Thursday at 12:46 PM Author Posted Thursday at 12:46 PM @Firewiz I agree! I think they're shooting themselves in the foot by not making it compatible. The MCDU is a game changer, I don't like flying without it now. It would be great if @iniBuilds could acknowledge this and maybe give an update on when their products are expected to work with the MCDU fully?
