Persistent keyboard input + automatic jump to the next data field
Hi iniBuilds team! I really enjoy flying your A350. Great product, works very well for me. I would suggest a minor improvement to the way we interact with the FMS and other systems. I find it more convenient to give inputs through my keyboard rather than virtually. Now, you have to click on a data field, click the CTRL key, type your entry, tap the ENTER key, and then go back to your mouse, click on the next data field, re-click on the CTRL key and type again. It would be great if: We wouldn't have to click CTRL for every data field we want to populate, but the keyboard input would be persistent (you'd have to press CTRL again only to stop typing inputs). If the field selection would directly jump to the next data field without having to use our mouse. At the moment, this only works if you type your inputs through the 3D Keyboard and Cursor Control Unit (KCCU), but not when keyboard input is activated (e.g. on the INIT page: FROM, then TO, then ALTN). There is probably a reason as to why this was not implemented until now so maybe this can be added as an option? Thanks! All the best!

More intuitive weight inputs and optional FMS "Fuel & Load" auto-fill
Hi iniBuilds team! I've been simming for a very long time but with years, the better the simulators became, the less time I had to sim (work + kids + ... life, you know). But I still very much like it, and I really enjoy flying your A350 and A340 (and looking forward to your A380). In order to try to balance both aspects, I must admit that I sometimes quickly fire up the simulator, load into the A350 (sometimes even with the engine running, hardcore simmer will be offended), and quickly load the FMS with a departure runway and an approach to the same airport. I then fly a circuit, just for the fun of handflying one of these beasts, enjoy a nice sunset view of London or Hong Kong, and then try to butter a landing. Quick and dirty, but doable within less than an hour. There are a few thing that could improve this kind of experiences for simmers like me (I don't know whether we represent a large part of the customer base or not. Definitely not the most vocal online). I already mentioned one with time acceleration in an existing topic (https://forum.inibuilds.com/topic/37033-skip-to-waypoint-feature/ ) but there might be another one which would simplify the flight preparation. For such short circuit, I don't prepare a simbrief flightplan. As such, I have to load my aircraft with a ZFW in the EFB. And I don't have a good notion of what is a low, medium or high ZFW. Sure, I could look it up (and forget it the next day), but it would be more convenient to have a slider for PAX and a slider for cargo. I would push them all the way to the right if I want a fully loaded plane, maybe full load of passenger and but not much cargo for a holyday flight and it's all good, I have a plausible load. Same for the fuel. If you have a slider, it's easier to guestimate what you want compared to a value in KG (e.g. full load if you want to quickly simulate a take off for a SIN-EWR flight, small fraction if you just want to simulate a landing). Another nice trick would be to be able to send these weight and centre of gravity data directly to the "Fuel & Load" page of the FMS from the EFB (like you can do now for the takeoff data). Not realistic, but efficient to quickly fly. Beside simmers with time constraints, that might also help newcomers to the world of airliners, and maybe even people that want to quickly test a specific system in flight. I fully understand that this will not be a high-priority addition, but maybe you still like the feedback and the idea. All the best!

I concur with raphaelcesar. Having a full-time job + a family with kids indeed doesn't leave much time for long-haul flying. Yes, 4x time acceleration helps, but if you want to fly the long-haul or ultra-long-haul missions that the A350 (and A380) fly, it's still a lot of time. The approach proposed above and already implemented by another company would be great. But maybe you can even do better? The disadvantage of skipping to a waypoint is that you miss all these wonderful landscape and sky variations. MSFS2024 is now so good for that that I even choose my routes depending on the landscape I will overfly. I was wondering whether there was a way to accelerate beyond the 4x limit (why not up to 16x) without a hard skip to a waypoint. Of course, our computers cannot handle the computing of such a fast simulation of all the physics behind flight (even less so on my limited machine). But I was wondering whether there was not a way to stop calculating the flight dynamics and just "translate" or "slew" the aircraft in the MSFS landscape, only computing a theoretical fuel burn? I have no idea whether that is technically feasible but that would give your A350 (and future A380) a very nice feature for simmer not lacking passion, but lacking time. All the best,

Will Inibuilds A340 support WinWing MCDU?
Same here. My new FCU and EFIS work, but not the MCDU anymore (buttons do, but not the screen). Hopefully it can be fixed soon.

Overhead completely dark at night with dome light on
I know. But maybe iniBuilds can propose an expansion for the current A340-300 at a cheaper price than a full standalone - and study-level - add-on, and potentially with better graphics than aerosoft. The idea was also to suggest the A340-500 (the best looking airliner IMO). Anyway, iniBuilds has much better idea than myself about the potential of such an expansion. But that was just a small off-topic wishful thinking, not the point of the post.

I concur with the other posters here: compatibility with Winwing product would be a great improvement. These products are nowadays much more widespread than a few years ago.

Overhead completely dark at night with dome light on
Hi all, At night, even with the dome lights on (even in storm mode), the overhead remains pitch black. Agreed, the dome lights are not shining directly on the overhead, but the reflection on the whole cockpit would make it a least somewhat illuminated. That would help us better see the position of the switches during cockpit preparation of night flights. This would probably not be a high priority improvement, but still nice to have. I also use the opportunity of this post to give you a more general feedback. Overall, I very much enjoy this plane. Beautiful graphics, systems could see some improvements but are perfectly good enough for a normal flight (considering it is a version 1.0.0), I very much like the feeling of the flight model during landing, and, most important for me, the performance are excellent for such quality on my mid to low-end system. I hope these positive aspect could be transferred to a potential A340-500 ans 600. 😉 Best greetings
