udidwht Posted Friday at 09:21 PM Posted Friday at 09:21 PM I have confirmed that using 1.0.1 KLAX is crashing the sim once you zoom down to the aircraft prior to starting flight. The sound will mute sim freezes then shortly thereafter straight to desktop. Removing the add-on and re-enabling the default KLAX resolves the issue. Running the latest stable MSFS 2024 (No beta). udidwht Posted Friday at 11:31 PM Author Posted Friday at 11:31 PM I've noticed with KLAX installed (default disabled) that when choosing 25L it does not place you at the end of the runway. It places you at 7L 25R Hold. Where it will CTD. This is repeatable. Once I remove KLAX Enhanced and re-enable the default KLAX it will place and start you at the end of 25L MSI Codex Series R2 B14NUC7-095US Windows 11 Home 24H2 26100.4770 i7 14700F MSI Pro B760 VC Wifi II (AMI BIOS 7D98vBG1 2025-05-16) RTX 5060ti OC (580.88 drivers) 32GB DDR5 5600mhz 2TB MSI M482 nVME (C:) Kingspec SATA SSD 4TB (I:) 4TB SPCC SSD 4TB (D:) 4TB Crucial CT4000P3PSSD8 nVME (F:) Seagate Backup+ Drive (G:) 650w Gold PSU

Rob Ainscough Posted Saturday at 11:34 PM Posted Saturday at 11:34 PM Having the same issue, but not just at 25L. RAM and VRAM are fine. So far only solution is to disable/uninstall KLAX 1.0.1 I'm removing some of the scenery options to see if that helps.
udidwht Posted Sunday at 12:50 AM Author Posted Sunday at 12:50 AM It seems it may be the sim itself. Had several successful flights without KLAX but then started getting CTD again but intermittent. 2020 runs perfectly. Also running the latest NVIDIA drivers as well without the NVIDIA app. MSI Codex Series R2 B14NUC7-095US Windows 11 Home 24H2 26100.4770 i7 14700F MSI Pro B760 VC Wifi II (AMI BIOS 7D98vBG1 2025-05-16) RTX 5060ti OC (580.88 drivers) 32GB DDR5 5600mhz 2TB MSI M482 nVME (C:) Kingspec SATA SSD 4TB (I:) 4TB SPCC SSD 4TB (D:) 4TB Crucial CT4000P3PSSD8 nVME (F:) Seagate Backup+ Drive (G:) 650w Gold PSU
Rob Ainscough Posted Sunday at 03:06 AM Posted Sunday at 03:06 AM I unchecked all the optional features and still CTD. It is pretty heavy on VRAM, around 27GB used (on this PC I’m using 5090 32GB VRAM and 96GB RAM). So far an uninstall and using MSFS 2024 default is the only way I can fly in/out of KLAX.
Rob Ainscough Posted Sunday at 04:35 AM Posted Sunday at 04:35 AM (edited) I was mistaken, I didn't uncheck all options, I think I had but there is no save button so assume it's automatically saved and action performed on selection. I didn't want to give up and I think I've found a work around ... I disabled these 3 options: Three flights so far and no issues. Edited Sunday at 04:35 AM by Rob Ainscough
udidwht Posted Sunday at 03:10 PM Author Posted Sunday at 03:10 PM I've tested with the add-on KLAX and it's repeatable 100 percent of the time. I then tested without the add-on and with nothing in the community folder and it doesn't CTD nearly as often but will at times. Same results after a clean install as well. System is corrupt free. It's definitely an issue that started after the release of SU2 and likely related to a Windows update or server issue. I also reported on the MS forum: https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/676657-fyi-ctd-msfs-2024/#comment-5539984 MSI Codex Series R2 B14NUC7-095US Windows 11 Home 24H2 26100.4770 i7 14700F MSI Pro B760 VC Wifi II (AMI BIOS 7D98vBG1 2025-05-16) RTX 5060ti OC (580.88 drivers) 32GB DDR5 5600mhz 2TB MSI M482 nVME (C:) Kingspec SATA SSD 4TB (I:) 4TB SPCC SSD 4TB (D:) 4TB Crucial CT4000P3PSSD8 nVME (F:) Seagate Backup+ Drive (G:) 650w Gold PSU
