The Passenger Window Shades Appear Unrealistically Fixed

Hi iniBuilds Team,

First of all, thank you for your continuous work on the A350 project — it's really coming together nicely and it’s great to see the attention to detail you're putting in.

I noticed in the recent update that you've added the passenger window shades to the exterior ACFT model. It’s a nice touch, but I’d like to suggest a possible improvement regarding their behavior.

Right now, the window shades appear fixed (half-open or closed), and while they’re visible from the outside, they don’t seem to be animated or dynamic from the inside. This can look unrealistic — especially when parked at the gate, where shades are usually fully open.

Would it be possible to make the shades dynamic? For example, some addons automatically adjust the shades based on sun position or allow them to be manually operated. That would add a great level of immersion. Alternatively, if they remain static and can’t be animated, maybe it would be more realistic to remove them altogether, since half-closed shades during all phases of flight don't reflect real-world behavior.

Just a thought — I really appreciate your work and look forward to the next updates!

Best regards,
Lubik

I believe this is a performance limitation, since each state takes up performance, and when you have like 1000+ states it really gets on performance. It's also why developers like Fenix don't offer many customisation options, it's because it takes up too much performance.

The main issue is that it’s not realistic. Whether from YouTube videos or other sources, you’ll rarely see window shades closed or half-open during takeoff, landing, or while the aircraft is stationary. This significantly breaks immersion—especially when you're trying to take photos of the takeoff or landing.

Performance is still the deciding factor, missing ITO also really affects images in case you haven't noticed. But there are a lot of windows in the A350 which you'd need several different dynamic states for and that, I expect, will really affect performance,

So, from my perspective, it would be better to revert to the original version, as at least that looked realistic.
