As title says, cannot get HUD to deploy in new update. 

The HUD has not been released yet. The 1.1.0 update says

"HUD System - Coming Soon!
A fully modelled 3D HUD is coming soon! This will have dynamic projection, adjustable declutter settings, and collimated view effect. Accurate brightness levels and a new seating position ensure optimal usability. It also includes a unique feature, allowing the HUD symbology to shift relative to aircraft direction in challenging crosswind conditions, making crosswind landings even more manageable! Keep an eye out for this awesome addition, coming very soon!"

Well it's modeled in the aircraft, strange.

....then why would they put it in the plane if it's not ready??

Yeah, they should have kept it out of the plane until they added functionality to it. Now they are just confusing people.

and....they removed sun shade too???

Hope we will get this option in MSFS20 and it will not be just Msfs24 thing like cabins.    Really looking forward for this HUD thing 🙂
