AbqVlieger Posted Tuesday at 12:26 AM Posted Tuesday at 12:26 AM Like many users I have been trying to get the A350 to work. Last night I tried my first flight with the new v1.0.7 update and I still can not control the aircraft once it is in the air. I have most of the other addon aircraft; i.e PMDG and Fenix and have been using various sims for the past 15 years. I say this because I do attempt to read the forms and see if others have similar problems and attempt to use their fixes. My control problem has gradually changed with each update but it is basically that the aircraft tries to correct its roll, pitch and yaw and any input I try to add only makes the the problem worse and the aircraft eventually is un flyable. This happens when I try to hand fly as well as when I use the autopilot. I have tried to use different control settings in MSFS; basic, Thrustmaster TCA and SpadNext. All have no positive effect. When I go to the external camera I can see the flight control surfaces on the A350 react more and more aggressively as the aircraft tries to fly. I have un installed MSFS, Uninstalled the A350 including the liveries, removed the files from the MSFS community folder- all with the same result; an aircraft that is beautiful to look at but I can't use.  Ryan JonesÂ
Transair Posted Tuesday at 05:14 AM Posted Tuesday at 05:14 AM Hi you must surely have some interference from somewhere. I flew a 4 hour leg last night using 350 (updated), using SPAD.next and Airbus sidestick, HC Alpha/Bravo and X-Touch Mini....absolutely as smooth as silk all the way. Like you, I also fly the Fenix and PMDG 777/737, again without any issues. I'm not sure unstalling/re-installing have any benefits.....are all 'Assistant' aids OFF? Is there a global setting that is interfering somewhere?? Not sure what else to suggest.Â
AbqVlieger Posted Tuesday at 05:07 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 05:07 PM Yes I have thought about that, I have checked my settings and can find nothing. I will look again. However, what is it about the A350 that makes it, potentially, greatly affected when other aircraft (all) don't have the problem?
Transair Posted Tuesday at 11:01 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:01 PM don't know. I can't think of a reason why you'd be having specific 350 problems when other types don't cause them. When I fly the 350, I select the joystick, and disable the yoke. Could it be you're getting events sent from the yoke as well if this is how you are flying?
AbqVlieger Posted Wednesday at 01:21 AM Author Posted Wednesday at 01:21 AM Transair, Thank you for taking the time to respond. Following your suggestion I unplugged my Logitech pro rudders from my system. I then set up in my profile to use the basic settings for my Thrustmaster TCA joystick and throttle. I also assigned the rudder to the joystick. I was able to take off with no problems and use the autopilot. With that it seems that my pro rudders are the problem. Do you have any idea on what I can do to solve that problem? I do plug them directly into my motherboard. I have also, following advice from the iFly Max settings reset the windows drivers for the rudder pedals. Is it possible to clean the actual mechanism of the pedals, perhaps that is where the random signals come from.  Thank you in advance.
Transair Posted Wednesday at 10:42 PM Posted Wednesday at 10:42 PM (edited) No, not sure I can offer anything useful. I still use CH pedals/brakes and they have been very reliable for a long time. Once we took apart the pedals to fix a problem, and once also, took apart the Bravo to fix and reroute wiring to throttles. Other than that, no issues with my hardware. You could try that, or replace the rudder if necessary...  Glad you found the problem though. It certainly sounded as though there was interference somewhere, Happy flying! p.s. I do also plug all flight controls into the Motherboard and only have peripherals such as X-touch and EFIS/FCU and Headphone dongle on USB Hub. Edited Wednesday at 10:44 PM by Transair
AbqVlieger Posted Thursday at 02:02 AM Author Posted Thursday at 02:02 AM Here is an update,  I have re attached the pedals and set up a s- curve in the MSFS control menu. So far, so good.
