felipeturbay Posted March 31 Posted March 31 Hi everyone, during approach, I attempted to change the assigned transition after entering the landing runway and STAR, but the system wouldn't select the new transition. I had to change to a different runway to reset the flight plan. Is this expected behavior for the A350, or is it a bug?

If you change only star then it was not working, but you can do it with selecting the same runway again before selecting the star 1
Brazeagle Posted Thursday at 11:36 AM Posted Thursday at 11:36 AM (edited) Really not working...as you mentioned, even selecting new runway, new STAR, input positively, but system will direct you to the AIRPORT, but no approach...there must be a BUG on the A350. (you will be very busy as a single pilot...but, if you try a few times, it works and you can get it done, even if you establish yourself on a hold while you work out the FMS). SOLUTION for now: 1- Delete all waypoints (FMS) left on the flight plan directing you to the airport 2- See your MAP (tablet, Simbrief, littlemaps, etc.) for the waypoints leading to the approach you are interested (assigned by ATC) 3- Add new waypoints all the way to your IAF and IF 4- Input the ILS (frequency) you were assigned in the NAV AID on the FMS and also input the ILS course 5- once on the IAF, activate your approach by selecting LS in both sides (Pilot and co-pilot) and press APPR on the MCP Happy approach, and do not forget to ACT in accordance with the established Missed Approach procedures in case you have a missed approach.
