Disappearing flightplan

Flying the 359 in MSFS2024. Before TOD I change the destination runway in FMS, adding new Star as well.  Temp flight plan looks fine, but when I try to insert it it clears all entries other than a direct to the airport.  This has happened to me twice now.

im running 1.03 in MSFS2024 SU1.

Any ideas what might be causing this and importantly how I can fix it.

I've had this happen multiple times in 2020 as well
