Missing lights on the A300

Featured Replies

Hi Inibuilds team.
Seems like a lot of external lighting does not illuminate despite the switches being set to on. On my current flight I had no visual navigation lights (red and green), but I did have the logo lights. I have no taxi light nor landing lights. No bulbs are visually on and no lighting is given on the tarmac.

MSFS2024 SU1 and A300 2024 1.0.1

Hello everyone I'm looking at this problem and I can't find an answer. I'll bring up this topic. After upgrading the A300-600 to premium and upgrading the MSFS SU3. All the lights seem to have disappeared, the lights themselves are there, but there is no light from them, No reflection from the strobes, no light from the taxiway and landing lights. What's the problem?

The same is still happening again in SU4 beta (.25) -external lighting is completely broken. Otherwise it was working fine.

  • 4 weeks later...

Same issue on my side. I’ve recently purchased the A300 Premium and the cockpit lighting is not working: No exterior lights, no taxi lights, no landing lights, no flood lights in the cockpit, no storm lights. This is a serious problem and makes the product effectively unusable in its current state.

@iniBuilds Could you please advise whether a fix is already known/in progress and share an expected timeline? If this can’t be resolved promptly, I’ll need to consider requesting a refund.

Many thanks,
Paul

Hi all, we're looking into this and we are unable to reproduce, and we have other users on the public build saying its working for them as well. Would you be able to try with a clean community folder and see if its working then? Perhaps this could be related to an imcompatible addon or modification?

Thanks for getting back to us @iniSteven

To rule out any conflicts on my end, I’ve already:

  • Emptied the Community folder
  • Tested the default livery and both engine variants
  • Deleted the WASM folder
  • Reinstalled the A300 via iniManager

Unfortunately, the issue still appears to be a general lighting problem rather than a setup/add-on conflict. All light sources (interior and exterior) are present and can be switched on, but they don’t actually illuminate anything - with the only exception being the dome light in the cockpit.

All interior and exterior lights are switched on, but there’s no visible illumination.

My initial assumption was that this might be related to the SU4 beta (which I was on) and potentially SU4 more broadly, as I’m aware some third-party developers reported lighting-related issues during the beta. However, since you mentioned you’re unable to reproduce it, that suggests SU4 may not be the root cause. At this point, I’m not sure what else could be driving the issue.

Oh and additionally there is this as well (just noticed):

Dear All,

Just wanted to let you know what I managed to figure out what the problem was:

It was a conflict with the payware add-on "Zirtek Aircraft Realistic Lights". Since this addon was streamed on my side and thus not in the community folder, I was not able to determine the conflict at first. After disabling the addon - everything works as intended.

The problem is hereby resolved.
Have a great weekend everyone!
