Delif Posted Thursday at 07:52 PM Posted Thursday at 07:52 PM Hello, love the a330 it is really awesome good job! Unfortunately I am having two issues. The first one being my rudder is way too sensitive and twitchy and sometimes it does not even work, I have rudder pedals and I use my sidestick as the tiller and I have selected on the EFB the option needed for my case, every time I give it an input at a low speed the pedals act crazy and cancel out the action, same for the tiller it just goes back to neutral at some point during the turn and doesn't let me continue the turn, and on takeoff the rudders are over sensitive so do you have any recommendations for what to do with the sensitivity as the slightest move makes the aircraft jump away from the centerline. Also regarding the sensitivity do you have any preferred settings for the TCA Airbus sidestick, the aircraft rotates like a rocket even at MTOW with just a little bit of back pressure but flies beautifully specially during landing. The second one being the fact that every time I load the a330 after closing the sim (any variant) I have to go through the calibration from the EFB again for my thrust levers. Your help is much appreciated and looking forward to hearing back from you.
knich Posted Saturday at 03:50 PM Posted Saturday at 03:50 PM Yeah...I can't get rudders to respond well with TCA sidekick. I can't get the plane to turn while taxi. 1
specialsk Posted Saturday at 08:56 PM Posted Saturday at 08:56 PM Yes, out of the box it is, but you can deaden by adjusting the sensitivities. Start with like -30 for the + and - and then tweak from there.

I guess some are getting it to work with other joysticks or it is a steam issue. I am on steam.

Try to recycle your control profiles, and if you have other controls assigned with axis, ensure that the rudder axis is disabled on them. Alternatively it could be the auto-rudder fighting you, so please check the Assistance options and ensure all are disabled as suggested here: As for the nosewheel steering, if you're only using the rudder axis, please ensure the option is enabled on the aircraft EFB: As for rudder sensitivity, it will depend on individual hardware and you should adjust the curves/sensitivity to your liking.
