I always used the clickspot / button on the left to set thrust /  arm autothrust for takeoff. this works great on thze A310 and also here on the A300. 
Since the latest update, it seems that hasn't any effect anymore.... 

Do we soemthing wrong or is the flow changed to set takeoff thrust an autothrust? Or is this different onm PW engines? ....

This has changed with the introduction of the IDC, new click spot is next to EFIS control panel,  right bottom, see here:
