PotatoSalad
Hi, First time I've encountered this, on my second leg when I've engaged the autopilot on climb out, the autopilot violently rolls the aircraft to the right and tries to crash the plane. I tried to disengage and reengage multiple times to try and rectify but to no avail. Nothing stands out as something I've done wrong (i.e. autopilot and glare shield are all programmed as they should). Note the yoke stays in a neutral position during the roll. Cheers. KorEl
Same here... Happened twice during descent after 1.0.5, I was in prof & nav I don't know why THR L was activated and the engines went to TOGA. Plus one more flight I had the "fall out of the sky" bug. Seems to me that all problems start when the main tanks are about to be empty. So, this is the end for now, the A300 is grounded since the next update...

Look at the Flight Director when you lost control. Notice how the lateral line moved all way to the right and the Autopilot followed it. I'm also getting various controls stop responding visually during flight. Edited February 6 by Joel S

Yep this is exactly what I was trying to describe - perfect example of the issue.
KorEl
Quote Notice how the lateral line moved all way to the right and the Autopilot followed it. Yes, the difference is that normally when the AP tries to follow the course does it with a max 30deg bank angle and the control column moves accordingly. Here the control column does not move and if you don't disengage the AP the aircraft ends up doing a barrel roll.
KorEl
This happened twice at the same route, same spot at descent after TIGRA, The FP was LIRF PEP9A PEPIX L50 UNIXO M620 SOR M603 KAPPO L995 TIGRA TIGR2T LGKR Approach VDM Y 34 DIREX transition If someone wants to try his luck 🙂 Edited February 6 by KorEl
KorEl
OK I 'm almost sure now: This happens every time the AP tries to enter a DME arc Try this LGAV KEA2F KEA UL607 GIVIS UJ62 NAVUS NAVU1A LGIR (VDM 27 GONSO transition) Edited February 6 by KorEl

I have always thought this was a feature of later aircraft avionics and thus DME have to be flown manually. I could be totally wrong here.@Crabby Is the A300 able to fly auto DME approaches? Thanks and apologies for the ping. Edited February 7 by AthenaG
KorEl
Τhe inibuilds Α310 (and the A300 of the initial versions) could do DME arcs, although they make a scary turn to the opposite direction before entering -a bug reported here: but then they follow the arc quite good. This is the same procedure flown with the A310 today:

Thanks and apologies for the ping. Going off a bit of memory here as I am in the field working (someone has to build those communication towers). Also, not sure if this is a A310 memory, but the 300-600 should have the same ability. It can fly a coupled DME Arc, however the ND will show a straight line between the arc. I think I saw INI say this was a quirk of the real aircraft. That being said, I have not done one yet. Also, I do not actually build the towers, my crew does. I am basically a gopher when in the field for the guys that do the actual hard work. 1 Mark "Crabby" Crabtree AAL311 | PHL I7-9700KF | 2070 Super | Honeycomb Alpha/Bravo | MFG Crosswind
KorEl
After v 1.0.6: The "violent AP roll to the right" seems to be fixed,at least when tries to enter a DME arc, but the AP still cant fly the arc, it permanently enters a turn now. After setting a direct to GONSO continues normally
Deleted Account
Yep, DME arcs are a known issue right now, will work on fixing those for the next patch 🙂 If there are any more instances of the plane not behaving as it should on the LNAV track, please open up another thread, thanks 🙂
