Microsoft/Inibuilds NAMC YS-11 for MSFS2020
Description: While flying the NAMC YS-11 , I’ve consistently observed a wing-low attitude during cruise when the autopilot is engaged. The aircraft flies wings-level manually, and fuel trim gauges confirm balanced fuel distribution. CG is within limits, as flight plans are generated via Simbrief.
I’ve tested both HDG and NAV modes—no difference. Applying aileron trim temporarily corrects the roll, but the autopilot soon overrides and reverts to the wing-low attitude. This behavior mirrors an issue I experienced years ago with Just Flight’s BAE 146, which was never fully explained and didn’t appear to be widely reported.
Troubleshooting Steps Taken:
Verified fuel and CG balance
Disengaged autopilot to confirm manual wings-level flight
Tested multiple autopilot modes
Applied aileron trim (temporarily effective)
Compared behavior with other aircraft (no issue observed)
Suspected Cause: Possibly related to autopilot roll channel logic, servo calibration, or attitude reference modeling. May also stem from how legacy aircraft autopilots are simulated or simplified in the platform.
Request: Has anyone else experienced this behavior in the YS-11 or similar aircraft? Are there known fixes, config tweaks, or patches that address autopilot-induced roll bias? Would appreciate any insights or suggestions.
