On the inibuilds A320 and A321 aircraft, the registration on the exterior of the plane is based on the livery, i.e. whatever the creator of the livery set it to be. The registration inside the cockpit (label and SELCAL code) is connected to the tablet under the settings "Tail Number and SELCAL," but I realised it's not connected to the in-game method of changing the registration. It is quite weird as it only happens on these two aircraft but not the ini A330 I believe. Hope this helps you.
