Modelling & Texturing

  1. Very well could be Microsoft's issue and not yours, but wanted to be sure you knew about it. In the current SU3 beta, the canopy glass is invisible in the external view. Still there in the cockpit view.

  2. Hi @Eddie and team, Curious if there are any updates on: Paintkit for the FS2024 model, since FS2020 paints aren't compatible with it. There are dozens of great T-33 paints on flightsim.to now, but FS2024 fliers can't use them. Bonus: Guidance along with the paintkit on the process to move 2020 paints into 2024 would be enormously helpful. Updates to the model to fix the mirroring issues that currently don't allow some camouflage schemes, etc. Thanks! It's an amazing model, and the FS2024 version is even better, but it's sad we can't use the dozens of USAF, RCAF, and other schemes currently available for it in the new sim.

  3. hi guys, i notice that more than once, so, let's talk about it:)

Hiya, The pilots in the T-33 still look very out of place (small) which make the whole aircraft look too large. Is there any progress made to solved this issue? Maybe design own pilots (besides the default Aboso Avatars) like other developer do. Hope you have some news! Kind regards, Marcel

Hi, I see the files are in the latest and newest format *.psb. A lot of paintprograms can not read this format, is it possible to convery/supply it in the more common *.psp or *.psd format? Thx, Marcel

Hi, Hope some one can help here please. I noticed that when viewing at a certain distance in external view the pilot goes into a block state. Until I zoom back in then the detail reappears. I notice this also happens on the Scout / wasp. Any clues in whats going on? I'm on XBOX Series X if that helps.

  8. Hello all 1/ I saw this bug at the back of the cockpit. 2/ The pilot in the front seat has a more sensitive LOD, because he disappears in the close-up before the pilot in the rear. 3/ The pilots are always too low, but I think the seats are also too low, or is the canopy too curved? Comparison between the real model and the 3D model: For the textures of the French model, I find most of the decals too big in width and height, and sometimes misplaced or different. See my photos of this plane for comparison. If you like, I can send you my PSD file of this model, which I made with Tim Conrad's T-…

Dear Inibuilds devs, recently purchased the T-33 because I fell to your advertising and was impressed by the fact that you dealt with an actual owner and operator of the aircraft to faithfully recreate it. I am amazed by the visuals and many parts of this simulation. However I see some weakpoints that I just don't want to accept after this very promising advertisement and the fact that many parts of this aircraft are outstanding, please continue development on it. Eye candy is going to get those planes into people's hangars, but system depth, immersion, sound and flight dynamics will get them out there again to actually be flown regularly, and that is hopef…

Hello, In some lighting conditions the canopy shows a lot of grime and swirls. This isn't very realistic as the swirls look like a sanding disk was taken to the canopy and a dog's been licking it. Screen shot attached. Cheers, John

In starting to make paint schemes for the model (lovely model by the way), I’ve noticed there’s an error in location of the oval outlet port on the left rear fuselage, namely it’s too low. This became apparent when placing markings on the rear fuselage and wondering why the vent always seemed to be in the way. The model appears to be a hybrid of both the Lockheed and Canadair built T-33s, it has the fuselage outlet port and extended tailpipe of the RR Nene powered Canadair model, but also retains the rear fuselage louvre panels of the Allison powered Lockheed model. The outlet port should by higher up on the fuselage, just about at the underside of the stabilize…

I thought I'd mention my huge disappointment with the T-33. I was really looking forward to flying this, and hoping to create many repaints/liveries/textures for it. I'm sorry to say it's not going to happen, it crashes my sim on starting the flight every time, so flying is not working (yet). As for repainting, what's this? Mirrored wing and tail textures? The fuselage in how many pieces? So painting it is also nigh-on impossible, and futile with those mirrored textures. So I've uninstalled it, sorry.

In the analog cockpit, try setting white floodlight to maximum at night, then turn individual instrument lighting on to one click. The altimeter dial reflection changes. Also the canopy bow floodlight housing glows. I'd suggest the red side console lighting is too bright/reflective. Landing light air-glow is too intense, whiting out the scene. A wide cone of light is welcome, but the effect shouldn't reflect in air to this extent unless it's pouring rain or snow. The USAF manual seems to say the trim tab telltale lights for elevator and ailerons should glow while the trim switch is operated, but they only seem to glow once extreme limit positions are rea…

  14. After I put a lot of effort and effort into creating a livery for the German Air Force T-33 in blank metal, I have to say that the T-33 is simply a disaster when it comes to repainting. I absolutely cannot understand how someone could do something like that with iniBuilds. Working with the textures: "EXT-DECALS" alone is almost impossible. Why can't you work with these textures in "Blender". Why weren't the textures of the wings and stabilizers designed so that they can be painted/labeled on both sides? For example, I would like to do a camouflage paint job; for example, the stabilizer is different on both sides and cannot be created differently in the repaint due to the …

  15. If I want to put a decal on the vertical stabilzer, it is shown as a mirror image on the opposite side. This also applies to labels, which are then also shown as a mirror image on the opposite side. For example, how can I paint the vertical stabilizer in two different colors? What was iniBuilds thinking here? Did they want to save space on the texture T_T33_EXT_1007...? How can I solve the problem? Please answer this. Best regards.

  16. Started by mgr,

Hi, Question: on which model-files can the new decal textures be used? Only the "white" one or also on the other ones? Request: the bottom and the top of the fuselage (and canopy) are not covered in 1 of the 6 sheets. Possible to add these, for example to the fuselage one? (sorry we repainters ask a lot 😊) Marcel

Hiya, I seem the pilots figures are a bit larger, think they can be still a bit larger. "Biggest" thing that still stand out is they sit way too low. The helmet should almost touch the upper side of the canopy, should be a little bit above the edge of the headrest, they are now below of the headrest. Marcel

Really minor but noticeable issue (since it's right next to you)... If you fly into rain, the rain effects appear not just on the glass, but also under the frame, where the glass overlaps the canopy frame. In the attached shots, you can see it under the frame on the left. The lighter shot, if you look closely, it's also under the front windscreen frame on the right. It's way more obvious "live" -- just start on the runway in the rain and watch the drops both while the plane is still and when flying.
