777Dave Posted November 12, 2022 Posted November 12, 2022 Disclaimer before I explain anything: I am new to the A310, so it is possible that I am doing something wrong, but nothing is immediately apparent. Was on an ILS final this evening into Wellington when the aircraft started rocking left to right and deviating from the localizer. The weather has a small cross wind but not anywhere near the type of weather that would cause this naturally. Airspeed was crosschecked, flaps full, 100% setup for landing. I took manual control of the aircraft to try to straighten it out but it seems like it had a mind of its own. I initiated a go around, but when I pulled back on the controls, nothing happened. Just completely unresponsive. Any ideas?
777Dave Posted November 12, 2022 Author Posted November 12, 2022 One thing I will note come to think of it, it might be possible the autopilot was still on as I may have incidentally double clicked the disconnect button
Cammac Posted November 12, 2022 Posted November 12, 2022 Hi. Thanks for your post. Only thing I can think of is did you press the rudder pedals? As even with the AP on rudder pedal input will be taken into account and will cause a large amount of banking.
