Can't use EFB in VR (A300/A310/Beluga)

I can use the mouse or VR controllers to hover over / point at options in the EFB, but I cannot actually click on them in VR. 

Is there any workaround for this?

Unfortunately, there is not a workaround for this, and this is the reason the A300, A310 and Beluga are not advertised as fully VR compatible. Apologies.
