permanent tcas resolution advisory

ND: no airports, no ndbs, no vords, no wpts

First and only report of this behaviour. Can you confirm multiplayer and ALL traffic is set to OFF in the free-flight section, before starting your flight?

yes, of course. never ever used it, only VATSIM, since 25 years. but there is no one around me. now 9 hours later, the RA is still there and I still have no airports etc. on the ND. completey bugged...

Something definitely happened to the TCAS system. I am getting more resolution advisories in general, it seems, and currently I also have a permanent one with no planes anywhere near me. I am using injected BATC traffic and nothing else, and there are no planes for which this makes sense.

A bit later in the same flight: still the permanent RA, now this plane behind me is flagged and I really don't know why. Perhaps someone who knows more about how TCAS should work can tell me if someone 2500 ft below me and 34 nm behind (going slower) should get flagged like this. I suspect not.

EDIT: my "permanent" RA finally disappeared after about 30 min.

EDIT: This (2 hour) flight I have gotten probably 10 RA's, sometimes simultaneously. That's more than I've gotten in total in maybe 200 h of flying with previous versions of this plane. Something changed.

RA is quite crazy with me too, but I am using SI traffic injector, there are a quite a lot aircraft around me, but the warning chimes even with aircraft 40 nm away in totally different way and altitude/FL :-D

Please try to change navdata sources on OIS 3rd Party Settings or reinstall the navigraph database if you're using that.
We have no repro of that issue, and as you can see from other user screenshots on this thread, they're visible for others too.

I suspect there is perhaps a bad navdata install or some 3rd party addon affecting sim navdata affecting the availability of that data for you.

Regarding the TCAS issue, team is investigating as communicated by my colleague above.
