Firstly, I want to say that the external engine sounds on this A380, especially during flypasts, are absolutely stunning (aside from the random volume fluctuation bug that has already been mentioned).

However, I wanted to create a dedicated feedback post regarding my own findings with the interior engine sounds, specifically for the Trent 900s. I’ve flown on Trent 900 powered A380s many times, and based on that real world experience, the current interior sounds feel like they are missing their characteristic depth and clarity.

Here is a breakdown of the specific audio issues I've noticed from the cabin perspective:

1. Missing "Growl" and Buzz Saw Phase Cancellation

During takeoff spool up, as other posts have mentioned, there is a very late onset of the engine growl. However, even when it does kick in, it feels like it’s lacking its signature bite.

• The engine growl seems to be drowned out by a continuous whooshing or rumbling sound.

• It almost sounds as if the audio is suffering from phase cancellation, as if two different recordings of the buzz saw effect are layered on top of each other and fighting each other.

2. Muffled Audio vs. Real World Clarity

There is a popular misconception that because the A380 is a very quiet aircraft, the engines should sound completely muted.

• While it is a quiet cabin, the engine growl during takeoff should still sound very clean and clear (especially when seated in front of the wing).

• Currently, the in game interior sounds feel artificially muffled and low quality. For comparison, the freeware A380 competitor has managed to capture this interior clarity spot on, so I’d love to see this payware model match or exceed that standard.

• Reference: This YouTube video perfectly captures how clean, clear, and prominent the interior Trent 900 buzz saw growl should sound during a takeoff roll: Lufthansa A380 Takeoff. It gives you goosebumps, and that's the feeling currently missing from the sim!

3. Interior vs. Exterior Audio Mismatch

While testing, I compared the exterior and interior sounds during the spool up phase and noticed they do not match what the aircraft is physically doing.

• Example: During the FADEC METOTS pause before applying TOGA, if you listen from the exterior, there is already a gentle, noticeable, and clear engine growl happening.

• If you switch to the interior view during this exact same pause, the engines sound as if they are still at a much lower power setting. There is no growl at all inside the cabin, creating a disconnect between the internal and external audio environments.

Overall, the aircraft is a joy to fly, but a rework of the interior audio mixing, specifically bringing back that clean and distinct Trent 900 buzz saw growl, would take the immersion to the next level.

As I have never flown in an EA powered a380, I cannot comment on those sounds, and I do not know if this sound set may be experiencing the same issues.

Thank you! Obviously (or I hope its obvious), I do not mean that the engines should sound quite as clear in the cockpit as they do in the video I used as a reference, but in the cabin it would be phenomenal.
