  1. Thank you! Obviously (or I hope its obvious), I do not mean that the engines should sound quite as clear in the cockpit as they do in the video I used as a reference, but in the cabin it would be phenomenal.
  2. I dont think that is the case. But with todays technology, most high quality sound packs will be able to rather accurately immitate how the engines sound wherever you are on the aircraft. A perfect example of this would be the Fenix A320 for instance. The cockpit sounds are not even nearly the same as those in row 1, and completely different behind row 12.. The same goes for this stunning a380 too, sounds are slightly different wherever you go however, they should be a little less muffled behind the cockpit door. Watching back takeoffs and landings, or even go-arounds from the cabin in replay, for example, is where this matters to many of us
  3. Firstly, I want to say that the external engine sounds on this A380, especially during flypasts, are absolutely stunning (aside from the random volume fluctuation bug that has already been mentioned). However, I wanted to create a dedicated feedback post regarding my own findings with the interior engine sounds, specifically for the Trent 900s. I’ve flown on Trent 900 powered A380s many times, and based on that real world experience, the current interior sounds feel like they are missing their characteristic depth and clarity. Here is a breakdown of the specific audio issues I've noticed from the cabin perspective: 1. Missing "Growl" and Buzz Saw Phase CancellationDuring takeoff spool up, as other posts have mentioned, there is a very late onset of the engine growl. However, even when it does kick in, it feels like it’s lacking its signature bite. The engine growl seems to be drowned out by a continuous whooshing or rumbling sound. It almost sounds as if the audio is suffering from phase cancellation, as if two different recordings of the buzz saw effect are layered on top of each other and fighting each other. 2. Muffled Audio vs. Real World ClarityThere is a popular misconception that because the A380 is a very quiet aircraft, the engines should sound completely muted. While it is a quiet cabin, the engine growl during takeoff should still sound very clean and clear (especially when seated in front of the wing). Currently, the in game interior sounds feel artificially muffled and low quality. For comparison, the freeware A380 competitor has managed to capture this interior clarity spot on, so I’d love to see this payware model match or exceed that standard. Reference: This YouTube video perfectly captures how clean, clear, and prominent the interior Trent 900 buzz saw growl should sound during a takeoff roll: Lufthansa A380 Takeoff. It gives you goosebumps, and that's the feeling currently missing from the sim! 3. Interior vs. Exterior Audio MismatchWhile testing, I compared the exterior and interior sounds during the spool up phase and noticed they do not match what the aircraft is physically doing. Example: During the FADEC METOTS pause before applying TOGA, if you listen from the exterior, there is already a gentle, noticeable, and clear engine growl happening. If you switch to the interior view during this exact same pause, the engines sound as if they are still at a much lower power setting. There is no growl at all inside the cabin, creating a disconnect between the internal and external audio environments. Overall, the aircraft is a joy to fly, but a rework of the interior audio mixing, specifically bringing back that clean and distinct Trent 900 buzz saw growl, would take the immersion to the next level. As I have never flown in an EA powered a380, I cannot comment on those sounds, and I do not know if this sound set may be experiencing the same issues. Cheers, and thanks for all your hard work on this aircraft!
  4. Firstly, I find the external engine sounds especially at flypast are stunning (minus the random volume fluctuation ruining them)! But, the interior engine sounds.. are.. lacking something? Ive only flown (though, MANY times) on a Trent 900 powered a380 so I cannot speak for the Engine Alliance sounds, but for the Trents, based from experience are definitely missing a lot of growl.. During takeoff, looking past the late onset of the growl during spoolup like the OP mentioned, they also seem to be drowed out by some kind of.. whooshing or rumbling sound? Maybe some kind of low quality recording? Or.. sometimes i feel like the "buzz-saw" growl may be somehow cancelling itself out, a double layer maybe..? As if it may be possible that two different recordings are fighing over each other though i may be wrong.. Either way something sounds off. Again, its really hard to explain.. but its easy to hear what they SHOULD sound like on any youtube video (such as this one, my favourite, gives goosebumps https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lRe-l6Zgk4w&t=2s ), or even by using the freeware a380 competitor, whom in contrast i feel got the interior engine sounds spot on. (Id expect a Payware aircraft to sound better than a freeware in this regard) Contrary to popular belief, whilst in general the a380 is a VERY quiet aircraft to fly on, the engines growling during takeoff should sound rather clean and clear (though not overly noisy) and really, rather beautiful when in front of the wing. They do not sound muffled in person, like they currently do in this model. In Addition, during spoolup ive been comaring the exterior sounds (beautiful) with the interior sounds (needs work), and found that the interior sounds do not match what is happening on the exterior. For example during the FADEC METOTS pause before TOGA, in the exterior there is already a gentle but noticable and clear growl. In the interior the engines sound like they are at a lower power setting, with no growl. The inside and outside sounds dont match.
