Zoom In VR broken

Featured Replies

Hello,

First off, congrats on the launch! Been looking forward to the A380 for a long time. I purchased today and loaded up the sim to do a first flight / setup controls / etc...

I do all of my flying in VR and as someone who is a bit visually impaired - I rely heavily on the zoom function in VR to allow me to read text / guages / etc.. (especially for a cockpit as large as the A380). Unfortunately after loading into the session and testing the zoom out, the camera completely clips through the cockpit and outside of the plane (no matter what direction im looking at). This basically makes it un-flyable for me.

Your A350 has the same exact issue and i made a post almost a year ago asking for a resolution for the same issue and it still has not been addressed. Considering the zoom works properly in the A340 I figured this would've been addressed on the A380 but alas its not. Having spoken to other devs about this - I believe the problem is because the collision meshes in the cockpit are not setup properly.

I know its day one and we're on 1.0.0 but Im posting in hopes this gets addressed and not ignored again. I'd really like to fly this plane.

Thanks,
Daniel

P.S. let me know if a video or something would be useful.
