Aircraft unresponsive in simulator

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I recently purchased the A220 via the iniManager, but I am running into a major issue when loading the aircraft into the simulator.

Problem description:

  • Upon loading into a flight, I cannot power up the aircraft (electrical/power systems remain completely off/unresponsive).

  • The EFB / tablet is functional, but the rest of the cockpit is completely dead.

  • Main flight controls, throttles, sidestick, and some switches do not respond to any input.

  • Toggling or changing the aircraft state (e.g. from Cold & Dark to GPU or Ready for Taxi/Flight) via the tablet makes no difference the aircraft remains completely unresponsive.

Troubleshooting steps already attempted:

  1. Completely uninstalled and reinstalled the A220 through the iniManager.

  2. Manually deleted the WASM folder prior to reinstalling.

Unfortunately, the issue persists. Has anyone encountered this issue or knows a fix for it? Any guidance from the team or community would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Exact same problem for me as well.

Edit: My Ini Manager wasn't updated to 2.6, that fixed my problem.

For everyone having issues, please follow these troubleshooting steps:

inimanager cache

  • Close iniManager: Make sure iniManager is completely closed. Check your Windows system tray/taskbar to ensure it isn't still running in the background.

  • Open the Run dialog: Press Windows Key + R on your keyboard to open the Run box.

Clear Local AppData:

  • Type %localappdata% into the Run box and press Enter.

  • Locate the folder named iniManager and delete it.

Clear Roaming AppData:

  • Press Windows Key + R again to open the Run box.

  • Type %appdata% and press Enter.

  • Locate the folder named iniManager and delete it.

Relaunch iniManager. It should start fresh and rebuild its configuration files.

Let me know if this helps, thanks!

Hi,

Can you please confirm you have disabled the Marketplace version of the aircraft as well? Both 2020 and 2024 versions.

Thanks!

there is no marketplace version as i bought it from the inibuilds manager. so within content manager there is only the community one

Same issues, tried ALL troubleshooting steps, including the above, several times. . MSFS 2024.

Cockpit knobs have no interaction until you pause the sim and then come back into the plane. At that point the knobs work but nothing happens when you turn them.

UPDATE: I think I fixed the issue. I don't have MS2020 installed, but in my library after scrolling down, I found that I have two A220s in my 2024 library, the MS2024 version which I had disabled, but I also found a MS2020 version. Once I also disabled that version so that BOTH the 2024 and 2020 versions were disabled, I installed from Inimanager again and it is working.

Thanks,

Joe

^ As I had mentioned above, when you purchase from the Marketplace, it places both 2020 & 2024 versions in your content manager.

Glad you were able to get it resolved!
