A350-900 Engine Sound Too Loud During Cruise (Cockpit & Cabin)

Featured Replies

Hi all,

First of all, I just want to say that the A350-900 is an outstanding product overall. The level of detail, systems depth, and overall experience is genuinely impressive — easily one of the best aircraft available for MSFS right now.

However, I wanted to highlight an issue I’ve noticed regarding the engine sound during cruise.

At cruise altitude, there is still a very noticeable engine “roar” both in the cockpit and in the cabin. This is especially noticeable when seated over or near the wing. From my understanding (and real-world references), the A350 is known for being extremely quiet during cruise, with minimal engine noise — certainly not a continuous roar.

Currently, the sound feels more like climb power rather than a settled cruise state, which breaks immersion a bit given how refined the aircraft is otherwise.

Summary of the issue:

  • Engine roar remains clearly audible during cruise
  • Present in both cockpit and cabin views
  • Most noticeable near the wing
  • Does not match expected quietness of the A350 in real life

It would be great if the cruise sound profile could be refined to better reflect the quieter nature of the aircraft at that phase of flight.

Thanks again for the amazing work — this is just a small tweak that would make an already fantastic product even better.
