VHHH Stand Parking Alignment and Jetway Length Inaccuracy

Hi iniBuilds Team,

I would like to report an issue with the stand parking alignment and jetway geometry at VHHH.

In the current scenery, the jetways extend unusually far towards the aircraft, and the ground stop/parking markings are placed significantly further away from the terminal compared to the real airport. As a result, the aircraft has to park much farther from the building in the sim, and the jetway appears extremely long and angled, instead of looking almost perpendicular to the aircraft as it does in real life.

To illustrate this:

In my MSFS screenshot (e.g. Gate 34), the aircraft nose is well ahead of the red/white stand markings and the jetway is stretched out at a shallow angle to reach the door.

In the real‑world reference photos and satellite images, the stop line is much closer to the terminal, and the jetway connects to the aircraft with a short, almost 90‑degree angle. The parking position and stand markings are therefore noticeably different from the current scenery.

This issue is not only present at Gate 32 – several other gates at Terminal 1 appear to have the same problem, although I have not checked every stand individually due to the large number of gates.

Simulator: MSFS 2024
Scenery: iniBuilds VHHH Hong Kong International Airport
Issue location: Passenger stands at Terminal 1 (for example Gate 32; other nearby gates show similar behaviour)

I have attached:

A top‑down MSFS screenshot showing the current stand markings and jetway extension.

Real‑world photos taken from the terminal, showing how close the aircraft parks to the building.2 (2).jpeg1 (2).jpeg

Satellite images showing the true relationship between the stop line, jetway and aircraft.3 (2).jpeg4.jpeg

I hope you can review the stand layout and jetway lengths and adjust the parking positions to better match the real VHHH stands in a future update.

Best regards,

Shing
