Broken Bridge

Featured Replies

Hi,

While taxiing in the Fenix A319 and crossing the bridge on taxiway Y, I encountered a bump severe enough to damage the landing gear and force a full restart. Likely spot was at start of bridge on western side, possibly due to uneven surface. Speed was 20kts, so not excessive. Thank you.

Hi,

Thank you for this information, I shall pass it along, one recommendation is disabling the crash options in the assistances menu so that way if you encounter any bumps whether it be here at DFW or any other sceneries; you don't have to restart and lose all your progress. Additionally make sure that you have no terrain mods or alternate sceneries installed just to be on the safe side. Thank you.

Thanks. Really don't want to disable the crash option, as it takes away from the realism. I can also confirm that I don't use any terrain mods or alternate sceneries. Am assuming that I don't need to disable any scenery or files built into MSFS 2024, but if I'm incorrect, please tell me. Thank you again.

That is quite alright. The game comes with a default handcrafted Dallas Fort Worth which does conflict with the Inibuilds KDFW. The Asobo Scenery, which can be disabled by going into Marketplace > My Library and then search for KDFW in the Content Manager and ensure that the FS2020/2024 versions are disabled and only the one with Community on it is enabled.

That is really good to know. I will disable the default scenery. Am assuming I should do for the other Inibuilds airports I own, such as LAX, Heathrow and Washington DC National?

Correct, there is actually a list that I have from 2020 that has all of the handcrafted airports as well as which versions had which airports that I use to make sure there are no conflicts as there are quite a lot of default sceneries. Even though it's for 2020 all of the Defaults from the WUs are shared between sims. https://flight.fandom.com/wiki/Microsoft_Flight_Simulator_(2020)/List_of_hand-crafted_airports

Not to go too off-topic, but you're really better off disabling the crash options, as they are implemented very poorly by Aosobo.

There is also a broken bridge on taxiway B.  The default Asobo scenery is disabled and I had cleared all the the scenery indexes.  The bridge on B is just missing.   After a long flight, the plane crashed into the road the bridge way covering.
