jmarcoss Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Hi iniBuilds team and community, I’m experiencing a persistent issue with the A340 Airliner for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024: the autopilot disengages randomly on every flight. Since purchasing the aircraft, I have not been able to complete a single flight because the autopilot disconnects at some point, regardless of phase or altitude. What I’m seeing: The disconnects happen in all phases of flight (climb, cruise, descent, approach) and at different altitudes. It is not caused by accidental input. In many cases the disconnect occurs when I’m not even at my desk, so there’s no chance of an inadvertent button press. I removed every shortcut and binding related to autopilot (keyboard and all peripherals), but the problem persists. This has occurred on every flight I’ve attempted with this aircraft, so I still haven’t completed one full, uninterrupted leg. I’ve seen other users report similar behavior, and it’s frustrating and disappointing that this still hasn’t been resolved. I paid for a product that I cannot fully enjoy or use as intended, and I’m asking earnestly for more attention to this issue. I would really like to use the aircraft I purchased—and it wasn’t cheap. If there are specific logs or details you need (versions, hardware, steps to reproduce), I’m happy to provide them. Thank you for looking into this.
IniSteve Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago From the info provided it sounds like the live weather bug is affecting your flights. We've have seen and received reports of the Static Air Temp (SAT) shooting up to unrealistically high temps (+25C at FL300 and above) and it causes the aircraft to experience a short stall thus shutting of the AP. Its a well-documented sim bug that is being looked at but there isn't a clear-cut solution for it yet.
