Rudder and tiller control.

Featured Replies

I got this weird issue with the A340, that causes the rudders to steer the aircraft the exact opposite direction during taxi above 30 knots. Very frustrating during take off roll, when trying to keep it on the centerline. Makes it impossible to takeoff, without steering off the runway completely.

Actual bug, or is there a way to fix this?

Thanks.

Same here. I assume this is a bug and that occurs when using the rudder as a tiller; I don't have a dedicated tiller, so I use the pedals.

Another user had this issue, and we determined they had an unexpected axis conflict reversing their inputs. My recommendation would be to setup a fresh controller profile for your rudders specifically for use with this aircraft.

I use Spad and the profile is specific to the Inibuilds A340; that profile isn't used on any other aircraft, each one has its own, and the MSFS2024 controls aren't used.

Hello,

I have the same problem.

Up until takeoff, the A340 can be steered very well with the pedals, but as soon as you exceed 70% N1, the aircraft steers in the exact opposite direction, even though the pedals are linked to the rudder.

This works perfectly with the INI A350, Fenix, PMDG  so why not with the A340? Please could you also provide a possible solution? And no, I haven't found any double assignments for the axis in MSFS2024.

Many thanks and best regards to the development team.

Gonna jump on this as well. Same issues as above.

On takeoff roll my aircraft basically just steers out of control and flips over..

I don't have any double assignments either.

Hello,

I recently purchased the A340 and unfortunately I am experiencing the same problem as others have reported. I am playing on PC using an Xbox controller. As a test, I created a new profile and assigned only the rudder, leaving all other functions unassigned. However, the steering still reverses during takeoff.

If anyone has a solution to this issue, I would greatly appreciate it. It’s really disappointing to buy an aircraft and then not be able to fly it properly.

Got the same issue as everyone today. Can you help iniBuilds?

Found the fix.

I had enabled the iniBuilds A340 twice (iniManager version and MSFS2024 Marketplace version). Use just 1.

Additionally, make sure that the assists are turned off especially the Auto Rudder.

Thanks.

@ captsk7: Thanks for the tip about disabling the auto rudder—it worked for me. I was pretty sure I’d already turned that feature off, but at least it helped. It didn’t make a difference with any of the other aircraft, like the FENIX PMDG, etc., not even with our own A350. Anyway, it works now.

Thank you
