mazelda Posted October 10 Posted October 10 Hi, The latest ini manager is broken. When trying to click on Anything, there is no response. I have found a very long winded work around but even that is a bit hit or miss. The work around for me was uninstall ini manager then shut the pc down, restart the pc and then reinstall ini manager as admin. then try running the program. It works sometimes others not but you have to do this everytime I have found so far. If you do get it to work and close the program then it stops working again and you have to do all of the above again. Clearly this is not acceptable, as i'm sure your aware updating aircraft or scenery is impossible as you cannot as far as i'm aware of doing this through the website. Can you please look at this Thanks
mazelda Posted October 13 Author Posted October 13 I have a ticket open regarding this. They have asked to provide a video of my issue, which i've sent to them. I did have 3 items in my basket but cannot do anything with them. I could buy it through the website but would not be able to download or update through the ini manager so until this is sorted i will not be buying anything from them . Shame really
Eddie Posted October 14 Posted October 14 Hello, Has support suggested deleting your cache folders? One in %appdata%/Roaming and the other in /Local. If you haven't already, please do so. Let me know if that makes any difference. Thank you and apologies for the inconvenience. EddieCommunity Manager iniBuilds Ltd. | inibuilds.com
mazelda Posted October 14 Author Posted October 14 Hi Eddie, Well it has sort of worked but in the manner you have suggested. I found the cache in the roaming folder, but could find no cache in the local folder of inimanager. I tried starting the ini manager, and it did work. I could put an item into my basket but all i got was the rotating symbol. I closed the manager down and it would not reopen at all, unless i shut the pc down and restarted. but same result as before . I decided to uninstall inimanager and noticed that the inimanger folders were still present in roaming and local so i deleted them and reinstalled ini manager which kind of worked as I had to completely add my details . Which brings up another question . Why do you need my simbrief user name or profile? On adding one of those the program runs and i can get the cart to open and pay as per normal.
Eddie Posted October 14 Posted October 14 Hello, I don't recall the exact reason; will seek clarification. As for the issue itself, glad to hear it has been resolved. Keep me updated if anything else happens. For visibility, reinstall iniManager and clear cache folders. EddieCommunity Manager iniBuilds Ltd. | inibuilds.com
