Henry.D Posted Saturday at 03:12 PM Posted Saturday at 03:12 PM Will there be an option to choose between the older A340-300 with the CRT displays and the newer A340-300 enhanced which has a higher MTOW, longer range, more powerful engines and newer displays?

It will have avionics and FBW originally made for the A340-500/600, aswell as a higher MTOW and improved engines.

The higher MTOW and -5C4 engines we are modelling were not only available on the A340-300E. Air France's A340s had the -5C4 engines, a 276.5t maximum takeoff weight, and EIS1 avionics and were delivered in the late 1990s, as an example. Edited Saturday at 05:17 PM by stagre

Which were A340-300E variants.. coincidentally introduced in the late 1990s. The higher MTOW and engines were only a thing on the enhanced versions. What's the reason for simulating an outdated design? Edited Saturday at 05:56 PM by foliainfx

Are you part of the development team? I would greatly appreciate seeing both display types, especially the EIS1 since it was the most common.
