Bianfable Posted Sunday at 01:13 PM Posted Sunday at 01:13 PM Flying an SLS approach is not described in the manual, so I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong here. I tried two approaches, which have LPV minima (one at LFPO, one at EDDH). In both cases, only FLS engaged (for non-precision approaches to LNAV/VNAV) minima. I would have expected to see SLS here for LPV minima. Is there something specific one has to set up (other than selecting the approach in the FMS) for SLS to work? I see others had issues with this as well, but I don't see a solution there: Few issues with 350 SLS lpv approach

Bianfable Posted Sunday at 01:40 PM Author Posted Sunday at 01:40 PM Not sure what you mean by "different types of approaches". Both FLS and SLS can be use to fly an RNP approach. With FLS you can fly down to LNAV/VNAV minima and with SLS down to LPV minima. Do you mean there should be a different approach selection in the aircraft? All I saw was "ILS05", "RNV05" (what I chose) and "05".

SLS is a precision approach and functions differently than a FLS approach (non precision approach). Do you have the full Navigraph subscription?
Bianfable Posted Sunday at 02:53 PM Author Posted Sunday at 02:53 PM Yes, I have Navigraph and I updated the nav data. On FMS Initialization it also shows the current database.

Bianfable Posted Sunday at 05:40 PM Author Posted Sunday at 05:40 PM OK, I just updated to version 1.1.1 and re-installed Navigraph navdata, now these approaches show up correctly (must have had some wrong config in the previous version). For EDDF e.g. runway 07C it now lists (among others) these approaches: RNVY07C (LPV-SLS) RNVZ07C (LPV-SLS) When selecting either one, the LS and FREQ/CHAN fields are filled correctly.
