The F406 Caravan II is a unique twin turboprop aircraft, designed with versatility and performance in mind. It has built a strong reputation as a true multi-role platform, capable of handling aerial survey, medevac, light cargo, and regional passenger transport missions with ease and reliability.

With the help of Echo 19 Audio, we were able to capture the unique twin turboprop sounds of the F406, from the iconic startup sequence to cruise engine hum and switch clicks in the cockpit. Every element has been recorded using professional-grade equipment from the real aircraft to ensure the most immersive experience possible in sim.

Our team worked incredibly hard to match the flight dynamics of the F406 with data sourced from manuals, performance charts, and RVL pilot feedback. This is not just a visual replica, it flies like the real thing, whether you're performing short field takeoffs, cruising on a surveillance mission, or descending into an unlit regional strip.

Thank you again to all of the expertise and access that has been so kindly provided by RVL Aviation, it's not only been a pleasure to work with the team here, but gain these invaluable insights into their operation of the F406.

Our collaboration with RVL Aviation gave us an incredible opportunity to get up close and personal with one of the most operationally active F406s in the world. Over multiple site visits, the RVL team allowed us to photograph, film, and document every inch of the aircraft, inside and out. So for this, we want to extend our gratitude & thanks to the team and their mission, without them, this project would not have been possible. As a token of our appreciation, we have donated £1,000 to the charity of RVLs choice: West Mids Air Ambulance.
