Hello, can anybody explain for what this switch is? 

Is it possible that is has something to do with the landing gear system? Does it has any effect on it?

I was just wondering myself as well - there seems to be nothing in the manual about it.

probably it has to do with it, but I don't know. Never find a POH or similiar. The switch does nothing, no reaction at all. IniBuilds doesn't react to my questions here or on Discord. Bad.

I just had the idea to run the question through AI... The AI claims that this switch should be some sort of isolation switch for the landing gear system. The gear system itself was very advanced in that aircraft (electrical gear), that's why an isolated switch in case of emergencies was built in.

Interestingly, the AI also claimed that the iniBuilds Spartan (yes, the AI directly mentioned the airplane from iniBuilds on its own), has the quirk of the switch not being operational. So your assumption is right and you can ignore that switch.

 

P.S.: I can't even start the engines (see my thread)... May I ask whether you can use the engine starter in MSFS 2024?

Do you use any sort of external programm like Spad.next or AxisAndOhs or MobiFlight to start the engine?

I am using Spad for that (and my Alpha Controller) and it works without any problems. I can post my binding here if it helps.

Hi DuRo55,

no I don't use any external programs for my controls. My yoke and throttle system is very basic, because I normally prefer to use the cockpit switches.

this are the Events I used to start the engine:

Magnetos OFF:                 B:ENGINE_MAGENTO_1 = 3

Magnetos RIGHT:            B:ENGINE_MAGENTO_1 = 2

Magnetos LEFT:                B:ENGINE_MAGENTO_1 = 1

Magnetos BOTH:             B:ENGINE_MAGENTO_1 = 0

 

Button to fire engine:

Pull:                       B:INSTRUMENT_MPV_LEVER_CARB_HEAT_CONTROL set to 1

Release:              B:INSTRUMENT_MPV_LEVER_CARB_HEAT_CONTROL set to 0

 But unfortunately the Spartan isn't  working anymore with 2024 SU3. The starter knob does nothing. No mouse reaction, so I cannot start the Spartan.

I re-installed, but no luck. I think I throw that thing into the waste...
