Thanks for the reply 🙂 No, the parking brake works fine - I guess. I just wanted to illustrate that the starter switch doesn't work like the parking brake switch does (because unclickable). I have the Steam version of MSFS and didn't knew that i have SU 3 installed, but I am wondering is there a way to opt-out for the SU3? Should I do that? Thanks

Hi DuRo55, no I don't use any external programs for my controls. My yoke and throttle system is very basic, because I normally prefer to use the cockpit switches. But thanks for letting me know 🙂

Hi DuRo55, I just had the idea to run the question through AI... The AI claims that this switch should be some sort of isolation switch for the landing gear system. The gear system itself was very advanced in that aircraft (electrical gear), that's why an isolated switch in case of emergencies was built in. Interestingly, the AI also claimed that the iniBuilds Spartan (yes, the AI directly mentioned the airplane from iniBuilds on its own), has the quirk of the switch not being operational. So your assumption is right and you can ignore that switch. P.S.: I can't even start the engines (see my thread)... May I ask whether you can use the engine starter in MSFS 2024?

Is it possible that is has something to do with the landing gear system? Does it has any effect on it? I was just wondering myself as well - there seems to be nothing in the manual about it.

Hi, I just bought the plane and I went carefully through the checklist. However the starter is not clickable (or interoperable) like e.g. the parking brake is. So I cannot start the engine. Does somebody has a clue? Thanks
