While in cruise at FL410, I decided that I want to save a bit of time and go at 0.88 Mach, the problem being that the aircraft does not want to accel past 0.873 Mach even though it had plenty of thrust available.

Oh man. I have this since the intial release of A350.

Was trying so hard to go beyond those .873 Mach in any crusie level.  I do not know if it is somehow hardcoded or something but I am unable to go faster than that . 

 

Here is my comment from March  the point 3/ Was trying to put there 0.88 or 267 knots and no not possible somehow.

If the aircraft is effectively at its aerodynamic or certified limit, there’s probably a good reason it refuses to accelerate further. It would be interesting to compare the indicated thrust, drag, temperature, weight, and any Mach/overspeed protection or FMC speed constraints to see exactly what is limiting it.
