T-33 Canopy missing in FS2024 SU3 Beta 1.5.4.0

Featured Replies

Very well could be Microsoft's issue and not yours, but wanted to be sure you knew about it. In the current SU3 beta, the canopy glass is invisible in the external view. Still there in the cockpit view.

Still broken in SU3 beta 1.5.8.0. Interior view shows canopy glass, exterior just the windscreen.

Are the T-33 devs aware, so they can alert MS that this breaks in SU3? (Not sure if all posts here are logged.)

Hi there,

Apologies for the late reply!
Please see;

Asobo is aware. As mentioned, there should be an update this week for the SU3 beta branch.

Thanks much, @Eddie! Appreciate the confirmation that the feedback got to the right folks!

Alas, I installed today's 1.5.10 SU3 beta and the canopy is still missing. (I know this is an add-on livery, but I also confirmed it with no add-ons installed other than the T-33 itself.) Wonder if the fix didn't make it into today's build, or if it's something else causing the issue that the WASM fix didn't address.

Still busted. 1.5.12.0. Hope MS fixes this before SU3 goes live.

Still no fix in the latest SU3 betas. Might be in Ini's court to change whatever "unique" thing y'all are doing with the canopy. 🙂

Hello,

I'll check in with the team again tomorrow morning to double check if there's anything we can do on our end. Will get back to you if there's anything of substance to share 🙂

We're up to beta 1.5.21 and still no canopy. Fun times. Not looking good for MS fixing their end.

I'd love to know what even caused this, if you find out. It's such an odd bug.

And now on 1.5.26.0, still rocking the convertible T-33. Not feeling like this gonna get fixed on MS's side. 🙂

And just to put the cherry on top of the discussion, 1.5.27.0 is the final SU3 release and still no canopy.

So, the ball's in Inibuilds's court. 🙂

Yeah, just double checked myself too. I'll make sure this is looked into asap.

I appreciate your patience, Editer.

Hi @Eddie, any updates? It's been 88 days since this was first reported, and over two weeks since SU3 went final.

I know you're the messenger and I'm not shooting! 🙂 Just really frustrating at this point. The most prolific T-33 livery artist out there has stopped releasing for now because people are giving his liveries low reviews because they're assuming they are what is making the canopy disappear.

@Eddie, any updates from the team? When I posted this I didn't realize there was an FS2024 topic for the T-33 too... Bunch of folks reporting it there too:

Ah, sweet canopy glass, how I have missed you.

Sounds like it was an LOD issue that wasn't exposed until SU3.

Thanks for making sure this made it back to the dev team, @Eddie!

Hello,

Glad to see it finally resolved! Sincerest apologies on the delay 🙂
It was indeed due to the LOD changes introduced with SU3.

Enjoy!
