The A350 hasn't been really performant since it's release, especially compared to the PMDG 777, Fenix A320 and even FlyByWire A380. I fly all of these planes and even with just 4k liveries and performance mode on (in the OIS), I get a noticeably lower performance and FPS in the Ini A350.

The performance after starting a flight is not great, but flyable. After long haul flights I feel like it's getting even worse up to a point where it isn't fun to fly anymore. I'm talking about ~20 fps or less here.

My specs:
- AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
- Nvidia RTX 4080 Super
- 64 GB DDR 5 RAM 6000 MT/s

When looking at the performance with other planes it's clear that the A350 shouldn't perform this bad. I don't use FrameGen as I don't need it with any plane and it comes with some side effects like stuttering when panning around fast or changing views. I hope the performance will get better in the coming updates...

Completely agree. I have what I would consider to be a decent system (I9-11900K, 4070 TI Super, 64GB RAM) and have performance issues as well. I would much rather be flying the A350 but have been resorting back to the PMDG 777 just because the A350 turns into a slide show....

Hello,

It is quite a head-scratcher. We have continues feedback that people have much improved performance ad others reporting worse or the same. The lovely life of developers ay! Regardless, I am of course not writing off your very valid concerns.

Can we please start with, whoever is willing, to load into an empty area such as "GVAC" and grabbing a screenshot of your in-sim FPS overlay.

I do also want to mention that we are doing a heavy push on optimisation regardless and are hopeful you'll notice a significant boost going forward.

Thank you!

Same here. Everything seems fine at the beginning, constant stuttering appears after flying for some time. MicrosoftFlightSimulatorScreenshot2025_06.20-17_55_54_86.thumb.jpg.eb67c21586df0c2ef9041cb7fc3035f4.jpg

Hello,

Do you perhaps have any third-party modifications installed? I recall some having a light mod installed that significantly degraded performance over time.

Thank you

Same here, with my settings that aim for 36 baseline FPS with frame generation on to get 72FPS, I have no issues to maintain those 72FPS with the PMDG 777, while with the Ini A350, I struggle to get above 70FPS on many airports. Put it on a default airport with clear skies and no AI traffic, then yes, the performance is fine. Put it on a big addon airport with AI traffic, and the 350 shows considerably 20FPS less than the PMDG 777 when running unlimited FPS. And yes, I am already using the low res textures and the performance mode. It is a ressource hog...

For me using the A350 is virtually unusable, it just constantly stutters, even with the low res model, I though I had pretty decent specs and it runs all other aircraft fine, but it runs rough as anything, and if i go to the exterior model, it then runs even worse

Same experience here. In demanding scenarios I see 10-20 FPS less vs Fenix or PMDG. It’s unflyable unless I want to operate from one tiny remote island to another, which goes against the point of what the aircraft does in reality.

Same here — even after updating to V1.1.0, performance is still terrible. My VRAM maxes out at most airports, leading to constant stutters and poor performance. Also, EVERY time I load the flight with the A350 it takes about 2-3 mins to load in. What's interesting is that no other airliner does this to my system.

At GVAC alone, it's already using over 10GB of VRAM — imagine what it’s like at larger airports or bigger cities. That makes flying into any detailed scenery basically impossible. And no, I don’t even fly to GVAC.

I've tried the following:
- Complete uninstall & reinstall
- Clearing the WASM folder
- Reducing settings

Prior to the update, I had no problems with performance. I had a smooth experience. However, after updating to the most recent version today, I see a new stutter has been introduced. What I find odd about this stutter is that it's very similar to the PMDG stutter bug they're having with the 777F. I've attached several links to this post. The first link is showing the plane prior to the update without any stutter. The second video shows the plane this evening with the stutter. This stutter is very consistent and the timing has a cadence.

What's interesting is with the PMDG 777F, they determined the fix was to navigate away from certain screens on their tablet. Once you do that, the pulse disappears. They're still supposedly trying to track down the issue but they haven't had any success. I tried a similar test on the A350 and didn't seem to have the same results. I've attached a link from a video with the PMDG 777F showing this bug as well as a link to their ticket so it can be cross referenced.

This is the link showing me flying the plane pre-update and with no stutter.

This is the link showing the plane post-update and the stutter is now present. (No driver changes since the update)

Here is the PMDG 777F showing a very similar pulsing stutter.

Here is the link to the PMDG ticket to cross reference

I had this pulsing stutter in previous updates. But i found a workaround, which is setting navdata to "Sim Default". I didnt get a reply for my bug report though. They dont seem to care.

Otherwise agree. Terrible performance, even with "EFB Performance Mode", "Reduced Resolution Pack" and "No Cabin".

Also i can only install either the MSFS2020 or the MSFS2024 reduced resolution pack. But not both.

Nice... I see there has been some serious testing involved... But im sure theres an easy fix for something like that.

Hey, with the A350 at least they are trying. Their A300 Premium has big stutters when strobe lights are on. Thats since it has been released btw.

Performance does seem to be much better in MSFS2020. Like there its straight up usable. Soo shout out to Asobo for not yet completely ruining that product too lol.
