I would like to point out an issue that has existed since the product’s release — the engine start-up animation is unrealistically fast. As we all know, the Trent XWB engines used on the A350 are high-bypass turbofan engines, and engines of this type do not spool up to high RPMs instantaneously during start-up. This should be common knowledge. However, in the iniBuilds A350, the exterior view clearly shows this issue, and unfortunately, it still hasn’t been addressed.

Since the product’s release, I’ve seen many users raise this issue on the forums. With each new update, I hope that it will finally be acknowledged and fixed — but it hasn’t been, which is really disappointing.

To illustrate this, I’ve made a video. Please forgive the amateur production quality, but I believe it clearly shows the problem. The video compares a real aircraft and the in-sim version starting up at almost the same time, and the difference in the initial fan blade rotation speed is very noticeable. I’m not sure how many users regularly use the exterior camera, but I believe many do — and this isn’t a complex feature to implement. Other developers such as PMDG, Fenix, and even freeware projects like FlyByWire have managed to replicate it accurately.

Considering this is a product priced at £72, while it’s impressive in many aspects, small details like this should not be overlooked. I’m not a game developer myself, but I believe that if others can do it, a product that claims to offer “the ultimate airliner experience” should be able to as well.

I understand the modeling team might be busy — for example, adding character models for specific scenarios — but engine start-up is something users encounter in nearly every single flight. Compared to rare emergency cabin scenarios where characters might be visible, this is much more common. Adding characters in special scenes is a nice touch, but not essential. Realistic engine start-up is a basic requirement.

I respectfully urge the team to treat modeling and animation with the same level of care as avionics. Attention to detail should be holistic — not overly focused in just one area. Right now, the cabin modeling might be a 10/10, but some animations barely meet the acceptable standard. Personally, I’d rather see everything at a consistent 8/10 level than having certain aspects be perfect while others clearly fall short.

I hope the development team will consider my feedback. I truly love the A350 and appreciate the work of every developer at iniBuilds, but the absence of such a fundamental feature is hard to accept.
