noahxyz Posted April 20 Posted April 20 I don't know how realistic it is, but it would be awesome to have custom file support for the OIS. Â Custom File Support would include PDF Files for example. The user could select a location on his PC in the settings and would then be able to open these files from the OIS Menu. 2
AceDuckling Posted April 24 Posted April 24 I think fenix mentioned something about that coming to their efb next update, it would be awesome to see it in the 350 as well 1
Solution Eddie Posted April 24 Solution Posted April 24 Hello, I will forward the suggestion! Quite an interesting one too 🙂 EddieCommunity Manager IniBuilds Ltd. | inibuilds.com

Quite an interesting one too 🙂 If you forward this suggestion, could you please also request the ability for .pdf chapters to be recognized, so you can quickly jump between sections, add a basic text/word search function, and also the ability to jump to a specific page number. Another thing that would be great would be support for basic image formats, like .png or .jpg, so we can download stuff like current and forecasted SIGMETs and access them through the OIS. 1
Eddie Posted Monday at 02:14 PM Posted Monday at 02:14 PM Hello, I spoke to the team and unfortunately integrating custom file support is not viable with an internal OIS. It would need to be handled by an external app as the internal browser can't natively render PDFs or handle WebGL. This is not a definitive "no" to your requests, however, I do not want to promise anything. The feedback remains logged internally and we'll see how it goes in the future. @Prophet I'll forward your additions and see if some if it can be implemented or not. Thank you 🙂 1 1 EddieCommunity Manager IniBuilds Ltd. | inibuilds.com
