jw4821 Posted April 19 Posted April 19 Hi, When selecting Flap 1 in the air, only the slats should extend. However in the sim the airctaft is extending both the slats and flaps. This is incorrect. On the ground, selecting Flap 1 extends both slats and flaps - this is correct in the sim.

Now don’t hundred percent quote me on that but what you are saying is half true. It’s speed dependant, if you look on the main instrument panel between the CPT’s display unit and the center display unit you will see on the placard that the SLATS extend I believe at 250 knots while the FLAPS actually only extend at lower speed (I am going off my head so I can’t remember exact values here). However if you are slow enough when you move the FLAP lever to 1, both slats and flaps will extend. Edited April 20 by Balint

The placard is just for reference, it has no bearing on flap movement. 1 and 1 + F are listed separately as they’re separate flap configurations depending on the phase of flight - landing and takeoff respectively.
jw4821 Posted April 20 Author Posted April 20 Have a look at the below video at 3 mins 10 seconds. Flap 1 is selected and the indications shows only the slats extend.
