BillM Posted March 31 Posted March 31 (edited) I use a Turtle Beach Velocity One flight stick to control the aircraft. The rudder control is the "twist" axis on the V1. Nose wheel steering using this axis works fine during taxi for takeoff. However, after landing, using the twist axis on the V1 does not turn the nose wheel steering at all, and I cannot taxi the aircraft to the terminal or any gate. Attached is an image of my settings in the OIS. They seem correct for the intended behavior. Am I missing something?? Edited March 31 by BillM
ykeyre Posted March 31 Posted March 31 Nose wheel steering also fails after pushback. This only became a problem on V1.0.6. It was never a problem before. The fix I found was to use SLEW and move aircraft to a different location.
BillM Posted March 31 Author Posted March 31 @ykeyre, I don't have a problem steering the aircraft after pushback (I use GSX), just after landing. Thanks for checking in.
BillM Posted March 31 Author Posted March 31 (edited) I will try that on the next flight. Strange, though, that these would be connected. Thanks! Now I understand! If in autoland mode, the autopilot(s) remain active during roll-out and lock the nose wheel to maintain proper direction. If left on, they will continue to lock the nose wheel after full stop.
