GMane Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Hi, I'm not sure if this is the official support channel or there is a separate ticket system? But I have encountered a bug whereby the ailerons are not staying a neutral position when I'm hands off the controls or even with autopilot engaged. See the screenshots below where both externally and in the ECAM FLT/CL view the ailerons are stuck partially deflected and the autopilot is compensating to follow the LNAV in cruise. I had disconnected my TCA sidestick to make sure it wasn't dodgy inputs and set a null zone too. Does anyone else have this problem?
BillyBobJoe0987 Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Hey, this issue is caused by typing in any of the text boxes with your actual keyboard. With your joystick plugged in just nudge it slightly, not enough to turn off the autopilot but enough to reset the stick to center. The only way to stop this from happening is to use the on-screen keyboard in the OIS or the physical one for the center screen. You can also remove any control bindings from your keyboard. 1

Expand Wait so I need to use the physical keyboard when programming the MCDU (by pressing Left Ctrl) and the on-screen keyboard when entering data into the OIS?

Expand You don't need to but its avail as an option. Regardless, BBJ0987 is correct in that it's most likely an errant binding that is inadvertently moving your rudder a few degree causing the AP to compensate. 1
GMane Posted March 29 Author Posted March 29 Yep you guys were right, I had assigned some of my custom views to aileron trim setting. Thanks, it works well now 1
