Any chance of a new A300 update to 24 soon?

I've been flying a lot of the 350 lately, but its been a while since i flew the A300 for msfs 24 since the windshield effects are all messed up. I think you know of this problem? Its like super reflective and it looks like crap from inside the flightdeck. The clouds and everything gets like rendered in the glass window or however i should describe it.

 

Really want to do some DHL/FDX routes again with the 300 but cant fly it right now in this state, that reflection thing is too distracting.

Hi @tjockklat,

This is actually a known issue with the default implementation of windshield wipers in 2024, and we've been investigating it on/off since before the launch of the A350 trying to figure out a way that works the way we need it to, and looks the part too. As we agree the reflections aren't very realistic or good looking.

I'm thrilled to mention that we've actually had a breakthrough yesterday in finding a way to get the interior reflections to render rather than an inaccurate mix of both in 2024, it's currently gone into testing on the A350 and is to be out with the next update if there are no side effects discovered.

If testing goes well, the same will be implemented on the A300 in 2024 ASAP.

thanks for the quick reply. Ok, that sounds promising. Its weird that the 350 doesn't have this reflection problem on the actual cockpit windows at all but the 300 does. Looking forward to flying the 300 soon again then 🙂

Yep, to clarify - the 350 doesn't currently have the reflection problem as there are no rain wiper effects opposed to the A300 in which they are present 🙂

Ah ok the wiper statement confused me since i never had any wiper problems. But that makes sense then. thanks

Also, when you do the update for the A300, please make the engine covers not be on as default 🙂❤️

AH, so it's because of the wipers.  That makes so much sense now.  It's so annoying in the A300.

Are the numerous WASM crashes for the 300 also going to be fixed any time soon? Yeah it's great it sounds like the windscreen is going to be fixed but I'm not touching it again until I know these crashes have been resolved.

And the Cargo variant is just a stutter mess, tried to uninstall and reinstall, also the FEDEX livery is not correct, we need an update, it has just been forgotten about since release
