Does it only activate if the disconnection was not caused by the user? Or should it activate no matter what?

It did fail one time for me but I'm not sure if I hit some button combination that disconnected the AP. I tested it afterwards by forcing an AP disconnect and it doesn't stop the sim. That's Steam version with SU1 beta.

Hi @theChemist

It works by pausing your sim anytime the AP is disconnected whilst Time Compression (2x or more) is active. It doesn't work without Time Compression set to AUTO and shown as active in green at the top of the OIS.

Thanks!

Thanks for your answer, but I guess then it's unclear to me how to activate Time compression other than using AUTO. There is only AUTO or OFF. Or should I just change Sim rate the usual way not controlled by the plane?

I've found Auto means On! 🙂

But they said if you use AUTO the AFK mode does not work. So there has to be another way of activating time compression.

not that I see, I've not used AFK, but have used time compression, and all I did to activate it was set it to auto and set 4x sim rate, and thats it, it just starts using time compression straight away.

Yes but that's not my question. My question is about AFK mode that should pause the Sim when the AP disconnects (which happens to me during time compression and I crashed). And apparently that doesn't work when time compression is set to Auto.

The iniBuilds employee above literally said it ONLY works when time compression is set to Auto...

Ah thanks, the double negative slipped past me...but well then it's bugged and doesn't work as intended because it doesn't pause it. You can try it, pump your stick so the AP disconnects and the sim won't be paused.
